1/2 C unsalted butter (softened)
1/2 C sugar
1 pkg vanilla sugar (Dr. Oetker)
1 pkg vanilla pudding (Dr. Oetker cooked pudding)
3 Tbsp milk
2 eggs
1 C flour
3 tsp. baking powder


Preheat oven to 325 F

Cream butter in a large bowl. Add sugars and mix till creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, bearing till creamy.

In a separate cup or small bowl, dissolve package of vanilla pudding in milk.

Add half of the flour and baking soda to the batter, stirring to combine.

Add milk with pudding powder and remainder of flour.

Drop heaping tablespoons of batter on an ungreased cookie sheet or onto parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.


Dissolve icing sugar in hot water to form a thick paste. Brush on completely cooled Americaner.

Glaze variations: Add lemon juice or chocolate.
