Plant pot

This was my last project of the Spring session at pottery. I had a ton of recycled clay left and I wanted to make something BIG. I had recently received a very nice white pine tree from my co-worker and I decided I would like to attempt to make it a pot for it and try the art of bonsai.

I put a hole in the bottom of the pot (after this obviously) and made a plate to catch the excess water. Check back soon for more photos!

Well, the bonsai didn’t work out so well. Apparently pine trees are very delicate and don’t like their roots being touched. I’ve since planted some aloe and it seems to be doing very well in this pot. There’s good drainage and the bottom plate catches any excess water.
