Hamburgers/Bouletten

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
salt
pepper
1 egg
1 squirt mustard
onion powder
garlic powder
bread crumbs

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine, beef, egg, mustard, and spices. Mix gently.

Add bread crumbs until the mixture is sticky and will form into a patty easily.

Make patties with hands or a patty press.

For Hamburgers

Grill on BBQ until cooked. Serve on buns with hamburger toppings. Don’t forget the cheese!

For Bouletten (German fried hamburgers)

Place patties in a hot pan (cast iron preferred) and grill until browned. Serve on a plate with mashed potatoes and green beans or corn. For a traditional treat, pour drippings over potatoes.
