Slow Simmered Blade Steak

1lb blade steak
1 bay leaf
2 cups beef stock
1Tbsp oil
1Tbsp corn starch

Season steak with salt and pepper. In a shallow covered saucepan heat oil over medium-high heat. Place steak in hot oil and sear for about a minute. Flip and sear the other side.

Turn heat down to low and add stock and bay leaf. Simmer for 1-2 hours.

Remove steak and place aside. Mix corn starch with a small amount of water or stock. Pout into pan and turn heat to medium. Sauce will thicken as it boils. Turn heat back down to low and simmer for a couple minutes.

Cut up steak and serve with cooked egg noodles and steamed veggie OR serve with cooked mushrooms, steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. Pour gravy overtop.
